Parasites 1

Hi {first_name},

“My doctor prescribed Flagyl… will it work?”

Conversation between a patient and a specialist in nutritional and functional biology

Consultant:

My doctor prescribed metronidazole (Flagyl) after detecting Blastocystis hominis and/or Dientamoeba fragilis. Will it work?

‍⚕️ Specialist:

The answer is more nuanced.

Flagyl can help some people, especially when the parasites found are sensitive to metronidazole.

But in other cases, the improvement is only partial or temporary.

The problem is that the presence of Blastocystis hominis or Dientamoeba fragilis often indicates a digestive system that is already severely out of balance.

In practice, these parasites are rarely isolated.

In many cases, they live with:

  • yeasts and fungi of the Candida genus,

  • other unidentified parasites,

  • opportunistic bacteria,

  • heavy metals,

  • chronic inflammation of the digestive tract,

  • significant immune fatigue.

Metronidazole can sometimes eliminate certain parasites that are sensitive to it.

However, this does not necessarily mean that all associated digestive imbalances will disappear.

It is often at this point that many people no longer understand why their symptoms persist despite treatment.

Consultant:

So even after treatment… could I still have symptoms?

‍⚕️ Specialist:

Yes.

And that is exactly what so many people are going through.

After several treatments, they continue to suffer from:

  • bloating,

  • alternating diarrhea and constipation,

  • digestive pain,

  • reflux,

  • chronic fatigue,

  • brain fog,

  • anxiety,

  • neurological disorders,

  • joint pain,

  • recurrent tendonitis,

  • itching,

  • eczema,

  • uncontrollable sugar cravings,

  • hair loss,

  • an increasing number of food intolerances, including histamine intolerance, which ultimately leads to SAMA

At first, gluten becomes hard to tolerate. Then casein. Then certain fruits. Then certain starchy foods.

And with every passing month, the list seems to grow longer.

Consultant:

But why does the body continue to deteriorate?

‍⚕️ Specialist:

Because parasites don't thrive in a healthy environment.

They create an inflammatory and acidic environment.

Yeast, fungi, and certain heavy metals also contribute to this chronic acidity.

⚠️ The more acidic and inflammatory your body becomes… the more these microorganisms can thrive.

And the more they grow… the more inflammatory waste they produce.

Over time, this can perpetuate a vicious cycle of inflammation.

Some people then decide to “eat a more alkaline diet” or “a more alkaline diet”…

But despite all their dietary efforts, the symptoms persist.

Why?

Because as long as the root causes remain, the ecosystem continues to be disrupted.

Consultant:

So the problem isn't just the parasite?

‍⚕️ Specialist:

Exactly.

One factor is often overlooked: the effectiveness of a treatment also depends on the state of the immune system.

And today, a lot of people have weakened immune systems.

Why?

Because he has been campaigning for years against:

  • past viral infections,

  • unnoticed cases of mononucleosis,

  • EBV reactivations,

  • of the CMV,

  • other viruses in the herpes family,

  • silent chronic inflammation.

White blood cells have to work constantly.

They try to:

  • to control pests,

  • to manage the yeast,

  • to neutralize toxins,

  • to fight inflammation,

  • to maintain intestinal balance.

When these symptoms are constantly present, they may eventually become chronic over time.

And in this condition, some people go from one treatment to the next without seeing any real, lasting improvement.

Why We Use Functional Microscopy

Our approach isn't simply about "getting rid of a parasite."

We are trying to understand:

  • why your property allows them to be there,

  • why your immune system can no longer cope with the situation,

  • why symptoms persist despite treatment.

Functional microscopy makes it possible to investigate various imbalances in the body's biological system.

It can help guide the work toward:

  • pests,

  • yeasts and fungi,

  • imbalances in the microbiome,

  • systemic inflammatory markers,

  • certain signs of oxidative stress,

  • immune disorders,

  • imbalances that may indicate heavy metal toxicity.

This approach is not a substitute for a medical diagnosis.

It is used to gain a better understanding of one’s biological makeup in order to guide lifestyle choices, diet, and the most appropriate support strategies.

Why test for heavy metals?

Heavy metals can contribute to:

  • chronic fatigue,

  • neurological disorders,

  • muscle pain,

  • digestive problems,

  • difficulty concentrating,

  • sugar cravings,

  • immune imbalances,

  • hair loss,

  • skin conditions,

  • food hypersensitivity.

In some cases, they can also create conditions conducive to yeast overgrowth and chronic infections.

That is why our additional analyses also seek to explore this aspect.

Consultant:

So is there another approach besides just “taking an antibiotic”?

‍⚕️ Specialist:

Yes.

Because a chronic digestive disorder is rarely “just digestive.”

These symptoms may be a sign of:

  • immune exhaustion,

  • chronic respiratory infections,

  • yeasts,

  • parasites,

  • persistent inflammation,

  • neurological imbalances,

  • heavy metals,

  • a severely disrupted microbiome.

And as long as the full picture isn't understood… relapses are common.

✨ What if there was finally an explanation for your symptoms?

You may have been suffering for years from:

  • chronic fatigue,

  • digestive problems,

  • bloating,

  • intestinal pain,

  • alternating diarrhea and constipation,

  • neurological disorders,

  • anxiety,

  • brain fog,

  • uncontrollable sugar cravings,

  • hair loss,

  • food intolerances,

  • muscle pain,

  • recurrent tendonitis,

  • chronic inflammation.

And yet… your test results often come back “normal.”

That doesn't necessarily mean that everything is functionally balanced.

This sometimes means that no one has yet explored your entire property.

Microscopy in the office or remotely

Our support allows you to explore your biological makeup in a more comprehensive way.

We offer:

The goal:

✅ Understand why your symptoms persist. ✅ Identify major imbalances. ✅ Provide personalized support for your body. ✅ Help you finally break free from the vicious cycle of digestive and inflammatory issues.

Why it’s important to act early

Many people think their symptoms are “all in their head”…

When in reality their bodies have been fighting for years.

With each passing month, the following may appear:

  • new forms of intolerance,

  • no more fatigue,

  • no more inflammation,

  • no more neurological problems,

  • no more digestive problems.

The longer these imbalances persist, the more difficult they can be to correct.

Your (potential) decision

If this sounds like you, it might be time to explore your surroundings in a different way.

Our approach, which combines functional microscopy with complementary analyses, can help you better understand the causes of your digestive, immune, and neurological disorders.

In-office consultations or consultations using remote microscopy. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Because regaining your energy, improving your digestion, and restoring your mental clarity often starts with finally understanding what your body is trying to tell you.
